FUTURE PLANS
Political participation of women
Initiative on increasing political participation of women in the region of CEE, SEE, Caucasus and Central Asia will be caried: main focus will be in creating and distributing list of good practices, assesing the tools leading to the higher female representation in the decision making process and establishing platform of female politicians. Critical analysis will be used to evaluate different processes aiming at increasing political representation of women and fostering equal opportunities principles.
IGPN members have broad experience with the work in field in promoting equal opportunities and are able to collect data on implemented strategies aiming at higher representation of women in politics. These data will be further assessed by the group of experts consisting of the IGPN collaborators. The outcome will be list and guide of best practices.
Following activities are expected:
1.conducting comparative research on a) facts and statistics b) policies/measures adopted in order to increase number of women in the participating countries and in the selected countries of the good practices, non IGPN members
2.collecting good practices guidelines
3.organizing national and regional events introducing the situation, conditions under which women enter the public life and possible measures to be adopted in order to promote the female representation
creating the database of women – experts in different fields (economy and financies, agriculture, insurance, environmental issues etc. in the countries of IGPN network, widely distributed to various stakeholders in order to use their capacity at national/international forums.

The International Gender Policy Network is a non-profit, non-governmental network organization aiming at promoting gender equitable and gender sensitive public policy at all levels of global society. IGPN advocates for the inclusion of women’s human rights into the national, regional and global policy agenda and for full implementation of social, economic and culture rights of women.
